The Isle of Wight is known for its natural beauty, including sandy beaches, white cliffs and undulating hills.

A small, but energetic island town, Cowes’ narrow high street is bursting with interesting boutiques, antique shops, chandlers, restaurants and lively pubs.

During the three-day iShares Cup the waterfront will be packed as 1000 boats take part in Skandia Cowes Week (4-11 August), a sailing festival rivalled by none other in the world.

Spectators will also enjoy the added benefit of some exhibition sailing later in the week.
