Sunsail announces the launch of the Industry Sailing Challenge 2008
12th – 14 June 2008
With an exciting new format, teams are once again taking up the challenge
to compete in this unique event.
In order to make this years challenge more exciting, the format has been changed to include some “round the cans” racing as well as a double circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight.
The racing will start from the Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club, Port Solent, crew of six including the skipper will take part in a 24-hour challenge race of twice round the Island. After this, the crews will have a short stop at Gun Wharf Quays before a lively day of round the cans racing in the Solent. This new format will give every team the chance to steal some additional points and take home some silver-wear.
As well as the triumph of claiming the 2008 title, there are some fantastic Sunsail prizes on offer, including a Sunsail Mediterranean beach club holiday for each of the winning team.
Entry is just £1800 and includes
• Charter of Sunsail Sunfast 37 from 1900 on Thursday to 1700 on Sunday
• Wet weather gear and engine hours
• Race entry fees and race organisation
• Hull decals of your company logo
• BBQ supper at the Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club
• Team photo and individual trophies for each team member
• Prize-giving drinks and canapés
