About Us

The Club lies alongside Wardleys creek where it runs into the River Wyre. Mud berths have been carved into the side of the creek and most of these now have jetties which are maintained by the boat owners.

As can be seen, there is good accommodation ashore which includes a large clubhouse with lounge seating area and views over the river. This also has facilities for cooking and a toilet plus shower. There is a shed/workshop, with a selection of tools. The site / building. has power and water for the convenience of members. .

The navigable part of the river Wyre runs almost due south and the club is situated on the east bank before a bend turning east. Just beyond this bend the river shallows and is crossed by the Shard bridge which prohibits navigation to all but the smallest craft.

The site has approx. 40 self maintained jetties and mud berths, for members boats.

The Club currently has around a 100 members, mainly from the local area but also as far a field as Birmingham.

Members cruise locally or the Irish Sea and beyond. Many keep their boats in Fleetwood marina during the summer months.
