About Us

The Reservoir is open to members throughout the year. (Subject to each sections safety rules). Gates to the centre are locked outside of club use for security, but keys are available to members on joining. (The gates are always open during club sessions). The centre has ample parking, with changing rooms and hot showers. There is also a bar, which is open during sailing sessions. Windsurfers have two grassed areas for rigging and can launch from any location. Boat launching is from the slipway and there are three jetties for mooring.

Boat / Categories permitted to launch: Asymetrics 405s, RS200, RS400, Sports 14s and ISO.

Boat / Categories not permitted to launch: Powerboats other than the rescue boats, during sailing sessions and craft over 16 feet.

Size of water: 218 acres.

Handicap racing is held on Thursday evenings and Sundays, people of all ages and abilities are encouraged to join the fun. Those not wishing to race can cruise for pleasure.
Boats currently being sailed are: Albacoreand 146’s, Streakers, Toppers, Picoand 146’s, Mirrors and 405 and 146’s. A number of other assorted craft grace the dinghy park along with a small number of Cats.

Windsurfing is very popular and very safe, no danger of being blown out to sea and the tides always in. All wind directions can be sailed.
