Dinghy Sailing is a sport for almost anyone, male, female, young and old, you don’t even need to be particularly fit. Nor do you need to have lots of money to sail, you don’t even need to have a boat to get started in sailing. Sailing has lots to offer and is great fun whatever your level. You can be happy to while away a sunny afternoon or you can be at any level up to being a keen racer, out for intense competition and the thrill of speed in the latest high performance boats. Start your youngster off in sailing at an early age and they could reach the top of the sport or develop into the next Ellen MacArthur. Even if they don’t have that ambition or don’t reach that level it will be a skill and interest they will have to enjoy the rest of their lives.
