The Oakland County Boat Club (OCBC) has a great number of events such as euchre parties, karaoke nights, friday night dinners, theme parties celebrating St Patrick’s Day, Super Bowl, Halloween and a large Fourth of July Fireworks Show.
The OCBC is well structured with a board of directors and various committees such as membership, dock, entertainment, community relations, and finance to name a few. In addition, the OCBC has a monthly newsletter to keep the membership informed.
The membership is not limited to participating in just the above committees but can join the “shipmates” which raises money to improve the physical appearance of the building and the interior assets as well as put on many spectacular social “events”.
Membership is limited to 21 year old applicants who apply and have voting sponsors recommend them. They are then voted on by the entire membership and once approved they enjoy the many activities, the lake and entertainment which their dues support!
