TMCA is nonprofit corporation formed in 1979 to promote cruising and related activities. Cruises are organized throughout the year for many destinations on Galveston Bay and Gulf Coast waters. In addition, numerous social events are scheduled, ranging from informal dock parties at local marinas to the Annual Commodore’s Ball.
Education is also an important element of TMCA. Monthly meetings feature educational and entertaining programs, while occasional courses are sponsored on a variety of boating topics. Naturally, the greatest educational benefit comes from participation in club cruises.
Organized cruises are usually overnight weekend adventures on Galveston Bay, although we have ventured as far as Louisiana and Mexico for periods of up to two weeks. Day cruises are also common.
TMCA members include families, couples, and singles – a vital group of people sharing a common interest. We welcome you to our boating community and hope you will get to know our members, most of whom keep their boats in the Clear Lake area.
