The Walrus Cruise is a Christian voluntary organisation which provides sailing holidays for boys and girls from the ages of 13 to 18. It also provides further development for people aged 18 to 21. It started in 1924 and today operates on the inland waterways of the Norfolk Broads, on the North Sea and the Western Isles of Scotland.
The aim of the Walrus Cruise is to help young people develop in their Christian faith, building them up to then in turn serve others. It achieves this by bringing people together as a team to sail, holding open and honest conversations and studying the bible. This combination has helped many people over the years to think things through and strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ.
The Walrus Cruise is a registered charity (no. 1045288) run entirely by volunteers. It is funded by crew fees and donations from supporters and volunteers.
