Lagoon Watersports is run by people who are passionate, knowledgeable, and we are as keen to get out on the water as our customers. With over 13 years experience in providing watersports training and events at one of the UK’s best locations.
We aim to turn complete strangers into friends. When you first call us you may not know anything about sailing or windsurfing. We hope to introduce you to the joys of being out on the water and as your sailing skills progress we hope to be out with you on the water with a smile on everyone’s faces.
Lagoon Watersports has a very positive, fun outlook. We will get you out on the water having fun, and progressing as quickly as possible, using the best equipment, location and coaching.
Hove is Brighton’s slightly quieter cousin. Less crowded, but just as sophisticated. A stones throw from the lights and action of Brighton makes Hove the perfect place to relax away from the madding crowds.
Hove maintains a cosmopolitan air, with an excellent choice of restaurants, and accommodation by the sea.
Hove Lagoon is a truly unique location. Combining its proximity to Brighton and the sea, with a shallow lagoon surrounded by Hove Lagoon park, it is arguably the best venue in the UK for :
• learning to windsurf
• kids windsurfing and sailing
• water and land based corporate days and events
The Lagoon is a major venue for events and corporate days. It has played host to everything from company days for blue chip companies, innovative team building events, through to rock concerts, ballet, fun fairs and the National Windsurfing Championships.
A short walk across the promenade lies the challenges of the sea which make for some of the best windsurfing conditions around.

Bit of history
We started in the mid 80’s as a windsurf school under the name of Sailboarding 80’s. The current centre was built in 1994 and we have grown from operating with 12 windsurf boards to becoming one of the most dynamic and thriving watersports centres in the UK.
* We were the first centre in the country to offer a “Gym Style” membership scheme.
* In 2000 we became were the first centre in the UK to offer Zap Cat power boating and we are the UK’s No.1 location for this thrilling craft.
* In 2001 we opened a second centre in Brighton Marina to cater for the demands of the more adventurous dinghy sailor.
* In 2003 we have added a full range of yachting practical and theory courses on our two brand new 36 foot racing yachts.
* We offer the best selection of high perfomance windsurfing equipment for hire in the UK.
* In 2007 we opened our first oversea operation, Lagoon Espana. Offering Yachting, windsurfing and kite surfing from the Bareclona area.
