With over 730 acres of water, Roadford Lake is a spectaclur lake set on the edge of Dartmoor between Okehampton and Launceston.
It is very easily accessed from Stowford Cross on the A30 and has ample parking.
The facilities at the lake are split in two; firstly, on the southern bank there is the Lakeside Restaurant and Function Suite which includes an interactive Visitor Centre.
The Restaurant and Visitor Centre are open daily and we welcome all visitors to enjoy the displays and wide ranging menu.
Visitors to this side of the lake can enjoy miles of footpaths and a cycle way which winds its way through a newly planted forest overlooking the Lake.
Our Education Officer is based at the centre and can organise group visits and educational trips along with rural skills courses.
The Lakeside Function Suite overlooking the picturesque lake has facilities for large and small conferences, parties, receptions, civil ceremonies, dinner dances and the like; please feel free to arrange a visit with our manager, Kouki who can be contacted on 01566 784859 or lakeside@swlakestrust.org.uk
Opposite Lakeside is our popular Angling and Watersports Centre with facilities for brown trout angling, sailing, windsurfing, rowing, kayaking and camping. Our instructors are on hand for tuition, self launch and hire, please call the centre for further information or e-mail roadfordwatersports@swlakestrust.org.uk
The centre here is fantastic for groups and individuals wanting to enjoy the water and learn new skills. We are open daily in the summer months and reduced hours in the winter. More information can be found on our Watersports pages under the recreation section of this website.
