SYCSA is a voluntary non-profit making organization, founded in the 1970’s to teach people from Somerset or beyond to sail.
We are based at Durleigh Sailing Club
SYCSA welcomes all ages ( 6- to 70+ ) and abilities (able bodied and disabled).
For youngsters:
* Playsail days offer a taste of sailing
* Saturday Club helps beginners to start sailing and improvers to extend their skills
* Topper course during Whitsun week accommodates all abilities
For adults:
* Get started by trying a taster sessions
* Ladies only evening have a go at this taster session
then continue to learn and improve your sailing skills through the
* Wednesday afternoons course for beginners and improvers
* Whitsun week course for beginners to start sailing and improvers to extend their skills
* June/July course for beginners to start sailing
* Level 1/2 September a course for beginners
* Level 3 September course for improvers
* Powerboat courses to Level S
For the personal development of active and registered SYCSA volunteers
* Tidal experience week provides a week of sea sailing
* RYA Training courses and qualifications
