One of the most attractive clubs in the Thames Valley, it is friendly, family orientated, run by members for members’ enjoyment.
Located on a very attractive 50 acre lake it has a modern clubhouse, recently extended,
A spacious car park and an enclosed boat compound.
The clubhouse with a lawn running down to the lake edge has good views over a large part of the sailing water. It provides comfortable seating, refreshments from a well stocked galley and licensed bar and changing facilities, toilets and hot showers.
The boat park is secure within a perimeter moat and has space for about 150 boats in individually numbered berths. Several fixed and floating jetties provide easy access to the water without the need to get your feet wet.
Access for members, including changing facilities is available throughout the week, year round – a point particularly appreciated by those who have free time during the week and families in the school holidays.
The lake with its three small islands is a haven for wildfowl yet provides an excellent sailing water where it is possible to lay good racing courses in any wind direction. It is also large enough to accommodate free sailing and training activities in addition to organised racing at weekends.
