ODSSA provides sailing for schools and youth organisations across Oxfordshire. Based at Farmoor Reservoir near Oxford, it operates a fleet of around 50 sailing dinghies and 5 powerboats. ODSSA is an RYA training centre and AALA recognised.
We are involved in the RYA’s Onboard Programme, a nationwide scheme to get young people sailing and windsurfing.
Sailing gives young people an exciting and rewarding experience, which builds self-confidence, social development and communication skills. Most of all, it’s great fun and most kids are keen to return and progress their skills. We can accomodate all groups, including those with special needs and reduced mobility with use of boats from Oxford Sailability.
ODSSA is a charity relying on volunteers to provide instruction to the young people. We can provide training to RYA Instructor standard including Powerboat and First Aid for volunteers.
