If you are interested in getting out on the water, Edinburgh Leisure have something for you. From beginners sailing courses to advanced powerboating and kayaking, we offer courses and activities for all ages and abilities.
Most of our courses are based at Port Edgar Marina – a large Water Sports centre based on the Firth of Forth. The marina has over 300 berths available, and also offers a large fleet for hire to the general public.
Port Edgar Sailing School runs courses throughout the season following the RYA Junior Sailing Scheme. The emphasis is on fun learning and completing the RYA Junior Sailing Scheme Logbook. Everyone learns at different speeds and so it is important to remember that these courses are not pass or fail but there to build confidence and ability on the water. Repeating a weekend course e.g. Topcats is a great way to build confidence, sign off more parts in your logbook and be ready for the next stage.
