Llanishen Sailing Centre is a specialist Royal Yachting Association Training Centre set in sixty-nine beautiful acres at Llanishen Reservoir on the northern outskirts of Cardiff, though the Centre also runs courses in Cardiff Bay & the Bristol Channel. Registered with AALA, it is also an RYA OnBoard Centre, an RYA Sailability Centre and a Volvo Champion Club. Managed by Cardiff Harbour Authority, Llanishen has introduced thousands of individuals, families and schools to the exciting world of water sports and runs a year round program of courses. The Centre which has been operating for well over 25 years, has established a strong reputation as one of the foremost sailing centres in Wales. Llanishen Sailing Centre is now part of Adventure Cardiff.
Our sailing courses are run to the guidelines and recommendations of the Royal Yachting Association which is the national governing body for sailing in Britain. The National Dinghy Sailing Scheme and the Youth Sailing Scheme come in a range of short, flexible courses which progressively lead on from each other so you develop and learn new skills along the way.
