Lansbury Marine operates a DoT/MCA licensed 58’ ketch moored at Swanwick Marina on the River Hamble near Southampton. It’s ideally situated for the Solent and south coast sailing and chartering.
Lansbury provide skippered and fully crewed charters for private parties or corporate days. Individual costs are from £99 per person per day and Corporate days from £1250 plus VAT.
Corporate Charters, Team Building and Client Days.
Lansbury Marine can provide skippered (qualified commercial Yachtmaster) or fully crewed charter aboard their luxury 58’ ketch based in the Solent area. A typical day would be as follows:
9.00 Join yacht at Swanwick Marina. Greetings and introductions. Coffee and Danish pastries or bacon butties or champagne breakfast.
9:30 Safety briefing, including personal safety, life jackets, harnesses, life rafts and general boat issues.
10.00 Leave mooring and motor down beautiful Hamble river (fascinating collection of boats) to Southampton water and Solent area.
10.30 – 12.00 Sailing around Solent. Morning tea or coffee and biscuits. Sail to destination (depending on wind and tide) which could be Cowes or Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.
12.30 Lunch stop ashore in either Yacht Club or restaurant (choice of charterer) with spectacular views over the Solent and the hub of world yachting.
2.30 Back on board for more sailing around the Solent. Encouraging guests to take part in the running of the boat, although if fully crewed, guests can take it easy, lifting no more than a glass! Afternoon tea and cakes provided.
5.30 back up Hamble river to mooring. Wind up session and guests depart happy.
Corporate clothing including caps, polo shirts and windbreaker jackets can be embroidered with company logos and names if required. Minimum 4 weeks notice required for processing.
Rib Hire (fast dinghy) and Hostess can be provided as well as fully catered lunches on board.
Corporate clients range from computer companies, telecoms, car dealers, oil companies who fly their guests down from Aberdeen, legal, financial and disaster recovery companies who have booked repeat charters on a regular basis.
Lansbury Marine can cater for virtually any type of client including those keen to get actively involved with the running of the boat, those who might want to “do a bit of helming” and those who just wish to sit and relax and watch the world go by!
Liquid refreshments of all types and non-stop nibbles can be supplied, however, any special requirements should be advised in good time.
Passage Cruising for Individuals or Couples.
“Eccolan” is a well-found luxury Moody 58’ ketch. She is fitted with essential equipment for long distance cruising trips including: large generator, heavy-duty service batteries, freezers, water-maker, microwave, tumble-dryer, hot water and cabin heating.
Full navigation equipment (backed up with paper charts and almanacs) and duplicated primary instruments are installed together with comprehensive communication gear.
The yacht has done many cruises in European waters including around Scotland and Ireland and much of the French coasts and Channel Islands.
During 2002 she spent many months in the Med, off the coasts of France, Italy, Corsica, Sardinia, Spain, Majorca and Menorca returning to the UK via Gibraltar, Ceuta, Cadiz, Faro, Lagos, Sines, Cascais, Peniche and Bayona for Cowes week in August.
In May and June 2003 her cruising grounds were Southern Ireland’s Emerald coast, based in Kinsale and Bantry.
Ports of call included: Yarmouth, Dartmouth, Salcombe, Fowey, Falmouth, St Mary’s, Cork, Kinsale, Glandore, Castletownshend, Baltimore, around the Fastnet Rock, Schull, Crookhaven, Adrigole, Glengarriff, Bantry.
“Eccolan” welcomes beginners and sailors alike and the experienced and qualified crew will encourage involvement during the cruises. If you’re looking for big-boat sailing and interesting cruising grounds in a fully equipped luxury yacht, this should be tried!
In addition to cruising this year, there are a number of cross-channel events planned and the yacht will be available during Cowes week for spectator charter and client hospitality (an event not to be missed).
