Maritime Craft Services (Clyde) Ltd have been providing support vessels to the marine construction and dredging industries both in the UK and worldwide since 1977. These have included tugs, workboats, survey vessels, crew launches, crane barges, rock and other transport barges and various other specialised craft.
We are a market leader and our vessels have been specifically designed for their manoeuvrability, power, shallow draft and robust construction. In addition our crew are highly skilled, fully trained and motivated with many years of experience in this type of work.
Over the years we have established an enviable reputation for ploughing/seabed levelling and more recently our vessels have been engaged in offshore wind farm projects.
We have a number of established trading links with Dutch companies and through them are able to source any vessel to suit your requirements.
All our vessels are fully certified by Bureau Veritas and comply with MCA requirements. They are all continuously maintained to a very high standard.
Our crew personnel are all employed by us and most of them are long term employees. They therefore bring with them a great deal of experience and the ability to work with and help clients solve their maritime problems.
Apart from our own fleet of vessels MCS are able to advise prospective clients on the right type of support craft for their particular project, the current availability of suitable vessels and the appropriate charter conditions for the vessel and project, and finally, arrange the procurement of the selected vessels.
MCS have amassed a detailed knowledge of vessels available in the U.K. and in Europe and are therefore able to locate crane barges, rock barges, split hopper/bottom dump barges ( Dumb and Self-propelled ), transport barges, jack-up barges, tugs and workboats together with specialised vessels such as side dischargers, seabed screeders and pile drivers.
