The Royal Naval Sailing Association was founded in 1935, shortly before the outbreak of the Second World War. Since 1945 it has continued to provide the means whereby interested sailors of all Ranks and Rates can enjoy the sport of sailing. The RNSA is also the advisor to the Navy Board on sailing matters. Membership is open to all Serving and Retired personnel of the Royal Navy and its Reserves, including former members of the RNXS.
