The Company was established in July 1999 when David Sudworth and Keith Jaffrey, in conjunction with Chris and Pat Collidge who own a separate marine insurance and finance business in Margate, set up Mercia Marine as an underwriting agency for marine pleasure craft insurance and marine trades combined policies.
