Easy installation on all kinds of boats
The installation of the Wichard boom brake only takes a few minutes:
a shackle is attached onto one of the boom saddles. To accommodate all deck layouts: two different fitting configurations can be implemented. The boom brake can be used either on old gaffers or modern boats.
Settings
The adjustment of the boom brake is made thanks to the tension of the
specialised line. 3 different positions exist for a perfect adaptation to the mainsail area and wind conditions.
Easy setting by tensioning the specialised line and/or by passing over an
extra loop into one of the openings of the boom brake. Can be used with a mainsail area up to 40 sqm. All the operations are made from the cockpit for the enhanced safety of the crew (gybe operations, setting of the boom brake).
