Wells Sailing Club

Wells Sailing Club was founded in 1913 by local enthusiasts using the saloon bar of ‘ The Shipwrights ‘ pub and in an annex of East House near the Quay. The club developed from sailing a mixture of racing dinghies [ including Int 14’s] to a concentration of Int 12 Square metre Sharpies in the late 1940’s and early fifties.
