Axe Yacht Club

The Club was first formed in 1936 as the Seaton Sailing and Motor Boat Club after a few boating enthusiasts showed the potential of the old derelict harbour by taking their craft up river and out to sea. Soon other boats appeared, their owners laying their own moorings, with the dinghies pulled up on the shingle.
