Brixham Yacht Club

As early as 1885 a yacht club existed in Brixham with its headquarters at a malthouse in New Road. It was not, however, until April 26th 1937 that the present club was founded under the presidency of Sir Alec Goodson, who was also Commodore of the Royal Dart Yacht Club and a member of the Royal Yacht Squadron.
