Cedar Point Yacht Club

Cedar Point Yacht Club was organized in 1887 by a group of prominent Fairfield County sportsmen with a simply stated and clear purpose: to "promote interest in the sport of sailing." With the recent opening of navigation up the East River from New York City, Long Island Sound was just beginning to see yachting activity.
