Cottage Park Yacht Club

In 1902, the Boston Steam Ship Company announced its ferry service from Boston Ma to the Cottage Park Hotel in Winthrop Ma would cease operations. Being a coastal community that borders Boston Harbor and its islands, a group of local businessmen met at the hotel to explore the possibility of purchasing the ferry dock to start a Yacht Club.
