University Yacht Club

The University Yacht Club is a unique club in that it had the money in the bank before it bought its property. It did not have to borrow a dime. The club was chartered in 1951 by our founding Commodores, Robert E. (Bob) Martin, Lamar Swift, and Rufus Darby, all of who are now deceased; but all of who were active members of the Atlanta Rotary Club, an organization from which the majority of the original Yacht Club members were drawn.
