Lake Canyon Yacht Club

The origins of the Lake Canyon Yacht Club go back 70 years to the early thirties when a group of sailors formed the San Antonio Sailing Association. Most sailed a Snipe, a 16 foot day sailer, and many were built in the back yard using relatively simple stock plans and wood. Students at Fox Tech High School built one in the school shop and entered it in a state regatta at Lake McQueeney.
