Padre Island Yacht Club

On February 22, 1986 twenty-five enthusiastic yachtsmen met at the Sun Galley Room at Anchor Resort to take the first steps to organize a yacht club on North Padre Island. The idea was the brainchild of Gene Koch and Greg Aurre following an impromptu New Year’s Day regatta.
