1965: Articles of Incorporation creating Port Arthur Yacht Club, Inc. were signed by 24 charter members on May 18. 1974: Under the direction of Commodore Dan Murphy and through the generosity of George Lohmann, PAYC financed significant improvements to the Pleasure Island Marina.
