This club has a history of first class performance in 'off the beach' competitions as well as a reputation unsurpassed in the staging of world class events. The club has a scenic outlook over the historic battleship Cerberus and panoramic views.
Black Rock Yacht Club began as an annex of the Brighton Yacht Club in 1899. In 1904 the Black Rock branch was established. A fire destroyed the original Club house and it was rebuilt in 1967. The club now has a membership of over 700 members.
